1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using Pitlane ("the service"), or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use Pitlane.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Pitlane. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. What Pitlane is

Pitlane is a community platform for car enthusiasts to post, discuss, share photos, and organize meetups and events. We provide the platform and host what users share. We do not create, endorse, verify, or take responsibility for user content, and we are not involved in any meetup or event organized through the service.

3. A personal project (no guarantee of availability)

Pitlane is a personal, non-commercial project provided free of charge and in active development. It may be changed, interrupted, degraded, or discontinued and shut down at any time, with or without notice, and without any liability to you.

Pitlane is meant for fun, communication, discussion, and events. It is not a system of record or a backup service. Do not rely on Pitlane as your only copy of anything important. Keep your own copies. We make no guarantee of uptime, data retention, or backups.

4. Your account

You are responsible for providing accurate information, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Do not impersonate others or create accounts on behalf of someone else without permission. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Your content and your responsibilities

You keep ownership of the content you post, and you are solely responsible for everything you post: text, photos, and anything else. You confirm that you have the right to post it and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

Photos are entirely your responsibility. You are responsible for everything visible in the images you upload. If something should be hidden e.g. license plates, faces, home or location details, documents, or anything private or sensitive, you must blur, cover, or remove it before uploading. As a courtesy safeguard we strip location (EXIF/GPS) metadata from uploaded images, but this does not reduce your responsibility for what the images show.

To operate the service, you grant Pitlane a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and operating the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups and content that other users have re-shared or quoted.

You must not post content that promotes or organizes illegal or dangerous activity, including illegal street racing or dangerous driving on public roads.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• post illegal, infringing, harmful, hateful, harassing, or threatening content;
• post sexual content involving minors. This is prohibited absolutely and reported;
• doxx, spam, scam, or distribute malware;
• impersonate any person or organization;
• scrape, crawl, or access the service through automated means without permission;
• probe, attack, or attempt to bypass the security of the service.

7. Moderation and termination

We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, including for any breach of these Terms. We have no obligation to monitor content, but we may do so. Moderators may act across the platform to enforce these Terms.

8. Intellectual property and takedown

The Pitlane name, branding, and software are ours. If you believe content on Pitlane infringes your rights, email [email protected] with a description of the work, the location of the infringing material, and your contact details. We will remove or disable access to material we determine, in good faith, to be infringing.

9. Third-party services and links

Pitlane may contain links to third-party websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

10. Disclaimers — the service is provided "as is"

The service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or security. We do not warrant that content is accurate, that other users are who they claim to be, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Meetups and events happen at your own risk

Events and meetups are organized by users, not by Pitlane. We are not a party to them and take no responsibility for anything that happens at or in connection with a meetup or event, whether online or in person. If you attend or organize an event, you do so entirely at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Pitlane is not liable for user content, the conduct of any user, meetups or events, loss of data, service interruptions, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Pitlane from any claims, damages, or costs arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Your continued use of Pitlane after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Serbia, and any disputes are subject to the competent courts of Serbia. If you use Pitlane from outside Serbia, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with your local laws.
